MARCH BREAK CAMP 2020

Toronto’s Best Band Program for Kids and Teens

Learn How to Play in a Rock Band

The Toronto Music Camp offers a unique March Break music camp for kids ages 8-16 to learn how to play in a rock band, produce a music video, and network with some of Toronto’s most successful musicians from Elite Music Academy. Our jam-packed weekly sessions provide kids and teens an opportunity to develop musicianship and confidence playing in front of a live audience and making a presence online.

Put Yourself Out There on YouTube

Become a YouTube and Instagram star! Over the years, our music videos have been shared thousands of times online. Some lucky campers have even had their works of art noticed by the original artists! All week long, a professional videographer follows your child’s fun-filled week from the rehearsals, to the recording session and finally the stage. It only takes a few weeks of processing time before the final video is released online!

A TYPICAL DAY AT MARCH BREAK ROCK CAMP

Early Monday morning, bands are formed by age and skill level. Daily rehearsals and recording sessions are balanced with other recreational activites and interaction with the other bands from 9am to 4pm. On Wednesday, a special guest provides a workshop on either band promotion, recording, or song-writing.  For lunch break, kids may either eat their lunch from home or go to a restaurant ina small group, selected by popular vote . On Friday morning, all bands come together to perform for each other and offer constructive criticism before the big show in the afternoon.

I

SHINE UNDER THE LIMELIGHT

Our March Break Rock Camp experience ends with an energy-packed live show in Toronto. So parents, book your Friday afternoons off work and charge your phone; this is a moment in your child’s life you’ll want to record and cherish forever.

l

INTIMATE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Rock Bands max out at 5-6 kids in order to provide our aspiring rock stars more individualized attention. And don’t worry if your bandmates are more advanced than you. We provide a floating music instructor to assist anyone that needs extra help.

COVER HISTORY'S GREATEST HITS OR WRITE YOUR OWN

Pick your favourite hits from any decade or have your your band write their own masterpiece. Our bands typically focus on classic and alternative rock like the Seven Nation Armys, Led Zepplin, Alice in Chains, AC/DC, Queen, Kiss, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. You know, real rock! But we don’t limit ourselves – previous bands have dabbled in reggae, jazz, and even death metal.
